14 Pen & Ink sketches made to document my movements and performances in New Brunswick landscapes.
I used drawings to notate my explorations in order to centre my work in feeling and memory versus language-based notes or video. Paragraphs and marginalia were permitted to surface as generative supports, after the figures and self-portraits were set on the paper. Drawing allowed me to emphasize the strengths of oral tradition and phenomenological knowing inherent to dance practice.
